BASS GUITAR LESSONS
|
Bass lessons are tailored to individual student needs. Whether you play
a 4-string bass, 5-string bass, or even a 6-string; whether you want to
play metal, or classic rock, jazz or country. Some students just want
to learn their favorite songs, others want to learn scales and music
theory. Some of my students are preparing for their school jazz band
tryouts, others enjoy jamming with friends and starting their own
bands. Then there are students who simply want to be able to play
recognizeable songs when they sit around the campfire with friends. And
of course, there are students who just want to play on their couch for
their cat & dog. Whatever your goals and objectives, your lessons
are based on exactly what you are trying to achieve.

My approach to teaching is "song based". By this, I mean that each week, I teach you the songs that you
want to learn. Any material that you are learning (for example: scales
or theory) is taught in the context of the songs you like. I find that
this approach makes learning more fun for the student. And students who
are having fun are learning faster and better.
Lessons are taught out of my home studio in Highlands Ranch, and are
generally a half-hour in length, though some of my more advanced
students prefer hour lessons.
I also give my students opportunities to advance their skills beyond just playing in the den or the basement.
Twice each year, in the spring and in the fall, I host Spring Jam & Fall Jam,
events where I hire a professional drummer to jam with me and individual students, on songs the student
chooses! The experience is designed to give students the real feel for what it's like to play in a real band!
